Management Team
Our in-house team of skilled and dedicated professionals coordinates and monitors all interpretation and translation requests; undertakes CILISAT assessments; and trains new interpreters.
With more than 50 years of combined experience delivering linguistic and cross-cultural services, our staff has the know-how and desire to give you the best solution to your language requirements.
Linguists
Our team of highly trained interpreters and translators includes scholars, scientists, medical and legal experts, engineers, writers, business professionals and many other skilled practitioners. They are experienced in both the target language and in English. Language permitting, our interpreters are CILISAT certified.
At CISOC, we understand the importance of maintaining strict confidentiality. Each interpreter and translator signs a pledge of confidentiality and complies with our Codes of Professional Ethics and Conduct.

CISOC relies on its Board of Directors for oversight and strategic leadership, an essential role filled by volunteers from the community. We are committed to an inclusive culture, ensure there are diverse expertise, perspectives, and life experiences around the table and empower all voices to be heard. Our Board is located in Ottawa. We hold six virtual meetings a year and an Annual General Meeting in June. We will acknowledge receipt of all applications and review them carefully. We develop and maintain a list of prospective candidates for the Board. When vacancies occur, or we come across an emergent need for new recruitment, appointments for an interview shall be made from the list of candidates.
